Birdcage Tech provides software and automation services. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Data We Collect

Depending on your use of our website and client tools, we may collect:

• Account details: name, email address, login metadata.
• Product usage metadata: enabled features, settings, and status information.
• Operational logs: events, timestamps, and service status history.
• Contact form submissions and support messages.
• Website usage information, such as pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device type, approximate location, and technical diagnostics.

Cookies and Website Analytics

We use essential browser storage to remember necessary settings. We also use Microsoft Clarity in its cookieless mode to understand how visitors interact with individual pages. Clarity can create a visual reconstruction of clicks, taps and scrolling; it is not a video captured from your device. Sensitive content is masked.

We explicitly deny analytics and advertising storage when Clarity loads. It therefore does not set Clarity cookies or use a persistent identifier to connect your activity between pages or visits. Microsoft processes the limited analytics information for us and may also act as an independent controller as described in its privacy terms.

• To meet legal and compliance requirements.

Legal Basis

Where applicable (including UK/EU users), we process personal data based on contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where required.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with infrastructure and service providers that help us operate the platform (for example hosting, authentication, and email providers), and only for defined processing purposes.

Retention

We retain data only for as long as needed to provide services, maintain records, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data.

Microsoft Clarity recordings are generally retained for 30 days, with a limited sample retained for up to 13 months. Heatmap information may be retained for up to nine months. Because Clarity runs without persistent identifiers on this website, each page view is treated as a separate session. We periodically review whether this limited analytics remains useful and proportionate.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls and secure handling of authentication/session information.

Your Rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and may object to certain processing where applicable law provides that right.
